The Sprint + is a Grand Touring Summer tire developed by Vredestein. It is designed for classic automobiles and is built with modern technology and performance engineering. The tire is not suitable for use in near- and below-freezing temperatures, as well as in snowy or icy conditions. The Sprint + tire has a summer compound that is molded into an asymmetric five rib pattern. It features sturdy shoulder elements on the outer side for confident handling and cornering. The tire also has a continuous center rib that enhances traction and stability during heavy braking and acceleration, while maintaining a responsive steering feel. Additionally, wide circumferential and intermediate rib grooves allow for effective water evacuation, improving hydroplaning resistance and wet weather performance. Internally, the tire is constructed with a single-ply rayon casing that offers a balance of comfort and handling. Twin steel belts are incorporated for increased durability and even wear characteristics. Furthermore, a two-ply nylon reinforcement is utilized to enhance high-speed stability and overall performance. Important to note is that when exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower, the tire should be gradually returned to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for a minimum of 24 hours before any flexing or adjustments are made. Cold-weather use or storage can cause irreversible compound cracking in the specialized rubber compounds used in Grand Touring Summer tires. Although compound cracking is not covered by warranty as it is a result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting such cracking must be replaced.
