The HTR Enhance LX2 is a tire designed for coupes, family sedans, and small crossovers. Its main aim is to combine responsive handling and durability with all-season traction, even in light snow. To achieve this, the tire is made with a high-silica, super microparticulate carbon compound that enhances both strength and flexibility, resulting in better wear and wet traction. The tread pattern is asymmetric, focusing on providing reliable handling and all-season performance even as the tire wears. Optimized groove depth and even pressure distribution prevent irregular wear, which extends the usable life of the tire. The tread also includes straight, circumferential grooves and wide, lateral notches that effectively evacuate water from the contact patch, reducing the risk of hydroplaning. Moreover, the tire has an increased number of sipes in the tread pattern, creating more biting edges that increase traction in snow and on ice. Additionally, the 3D zigzag sipes help maintain the rigidity of the tread blocks for better handling. The tire also features cross-designed chamfers that retain snow in the tread, which improves snow-to-snow traction. The internal construction of the HTR Enhance LX2 consists of a 2-ply polyester casing supported by two wide, high-rigidity steel belts. The tire's stability at high speeds is enhanced by a spirally wound, nylon reinforcement. Lastly, the high modulus bead insert is designed to improve steering response.
