The Latitude Tour HP ZP is a run-flat tire designed for premium crossover and sport utility vehicles. It provides temporary extended mobility in case of a puncture, allowing drivers to travel up to 50 miles at 50 mph even with complete air loss. This tire is used as Original Equipment by BMW and offers a combination of run-flat confidence, comfort, and all-season traction. The Latitude Tour HP ZP features a symmetric tread pattern with an all-season compound that ensures balanced performance on dry, wet, and snowy roads. It has stable shoulder blocks and a continuous center rib to enhance responsiveness and highway stability. Wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning, while 2-D Active Sipes improve handling on wet and snowy surfaces. Internally, this tire has twin steel belts reinforced with Michelin FAZ Technology, which includes polyester and aramid/nylon cords spirally wound under the tread area. This construction provides stability and responsive steering. The sidewalls are reinforced with low hysteresis rubber, offering self-supporting strength even at zero pressure. This feature helps prevent sidewall damage and maintains cool temperatures for longer zero pressure driving. Additionally, the special bead design ensures secure seating on conventional rims. Please note that while this tire offers all-season versatility and traction in light snow, tire sizes with extremely wide tread widths may have limited performance in deep snow.
