The Defender T+H tire is a standard touring all-season tire made by Michelin. It is designed for coupes, family sedans, minivans, and small crossover vehicles. This tire offers a comfortable ride and long-lasting performance in all types of weather, including dry, wet, and light snow conditions. To improve durability and longevity, the Defender T+H uses a new all-season tread compound. The tire's asymmetric pattern ensures smooth and quiet operation while Michelin's IntelliSipe technology enhances traction. Zigzag sipes interlock below the surface, increasing the tread block rigidity and optimizing contact with the road. With a high silica content in the compound, the tire provides excellent wet traction. It also features lateral notches and circumferential grooves to effectively channel water away and reduce the risk of hydroplaning. The independent tread blocks and zigzag sipes ensure good traction on slippery surfaces, including light snow. Internally, the Defender T+H tire has two wide steel belts reinforced by a single ply of polyamide. This enhances steering response and extends tire life. The two-ply body casing, made of polyester cord, provides a balance between durability and ride comfort.
