Kumho's Crugen Premium (KL33) tires were initially designed for use on Hyundai Santa Fe crossover vehicles and are now available for a wide range of crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks. These tires have a sleek low-profile design and are compatible with larger rim diameter wheels, which not only enhance the appearance of the vehicle but also offer versatile all-season performance, including traction in light snow. The transition from the previous name, "City Venture Premium," to "Crugen Premium" in late 2013 did not entail any changes in tread design, construction, or materials. Thus, tires with equivalent tread depths from both names can be used interchangeably either as single replacements or in pairs on the same axle. Built to confidently handle everyday activities, Crugen Premium tires are equipped with Kumho's advanced all-season compound. This compound improves traction, extends tire life, and minimizes rolling resistance. The symmetric variable pitch tread design, molded into the compound, effectively reduces noise, providing a quiet and comfortable ride. The tread pattern comprises independent tread blocks and wide circumferential grooves, which contribute to excellent wet road and light snow traction. Underneath the surface, Crugen Premium tires feature a robust internal structure. Twin steel belts, reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon, provide durability and strength. Additionally, the polyester cord reinforced casing enhances ride comfort.
