The Ventus V12 evo2 (K120) is a tire developed by Hankook for drivers of sports cars, sporty coupes, and high-performance sedans who want to showcase their individuality and style. These tires are designed to provide exceptional traction and handling, offering comfort and control in both dry and wet road conditions. However, it's important to note that they are not suitable for near-freezing temperatures, snowy, or icy conditions. The Ventus V12 evo2 tires use a high-grip silica tread compound with an innovative styrene polymer that reduces rolling resistance, thereby improving fuel economy without compromising on dry and wet traction. The tread design of these tires is directional, featuring notched shoulders and 3D intermediate ribs surrounding a continuous center rib. This design enhances dry handling and traction. Additionally, circumferential and aqua jet lateral grooves help efficiently evacuate water from the tire's contact patch, reducing the risk of hydroplaning and improving wet traction. The grooves in the intermediate blocks feature stealth technology and a unique wing tip design, contributing to noise reduction. Internally, the Ventus V12 evo2 tire is built with two wide steel belts reinforced by two layers of spirally wrapped jointless nylon. The sidewalls contain hard rubber sandwiched between polyester cord casing plies, ensuring high stiffness and resistance to distortion at high speeds and during cornering.
