The Grabber APT is General's tire designed for use on various vehicles such as pickup trucks, Jeeps, crossovers, and SUVs. It offers a balanced combination of off-road performance and on-road comfort. The tire is equipped with a robust tread compound that is resistant to cuts and chips, ensuring durability. It also features ComfortBalance™ Technology, which includes an absorption layer to provide a smooth and comfortable ride. The tread design includes shoulder grooves to reduce noise, full-depth sipes for grip on slippery surfaces, and circumferential grooves and shoulder scoops for traction on loose terrain. The internal construction of the tire includes DURAGEN construction for durability and stability, with two strong steel belts for added support. Most sizes of the Grabber APT meet the industry's severe snow service standards and carry the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol, indicating their ability to perform well in snowy conditions. It is important to note that not all sizes of the tire meet the severe snow service requirements, and these are clearly identified. Although tires with the 3PMSF symbol provide better snow traction than regular all-season tires, they do not match the performance of dedicated winter tires in all weather conditions.
