This tire offers confident traction on both dry and wet surfaces, and it also provides satisfactory traction in light snow conditions. To ensure reliable handling and grip on dry roads, the AltiMAX RT45 features a symmetric tread pattern with sturdy interlocking tread blocks. These blocks effectively enhance the tire's grip and handling capabilities. Additionally, the tire has four circumferential grooves that help evacuate water, reducing the risk of hydroplaning and improving traction on wet surfaces. The presence of lateral voids, shoulder slots, and sipes across the tire's footprint further enhances traction on slippery roads. Furthermore, the AltiMAX RT45 incorporates visual alignment indicators (VAI) on its shoulder blocks. These indicators wear off evenly, indicating proper alignment. In case of uneven wear, drivers are alerted to potential alignment issues. The tire also includes a Replacement Tire Monitor (RTM) imprinted into its center rib. When the tire wears out and needs replacement, the RTM will display the message "REPLACE TIRE." In terms of construction, the AltiMAX RT45 features two steel belts on top of a polyester casing, providing excellent stability and durability. A polyamide reinforcement ply further enhances the tire's ability to handle high speeds.
