Dynatrac
Dynatrac™, a name synonymous with robust, high-quality axle assemblies for off-roading, has a remarkable journey from humble beginnings. In 1988, Jim McGean embarked on a quest to find a heavy-duty Dana 60 axle assembly for his 1979 Ford F-250 after enduring issues with the factory Dana 44 front axle. Dissatisfied with the aftermarket options that often used recycled components, he decided to build his own heavy-duty front axle. McGean initially crafted axles in his garage to offset the expenses of his equipment investments. By 1994, after a decade of dedication, he made Dynatrac his full-time endeavor. The commitment to quality and customer service remained paramount, epitomized by the mantra: Provide customers with the best information available. While other companies transitioned to using lower-quality overseas parts, McGean staunchly upheld American-made products that matched factory standards. Dynatrac's ProRock 60®, introduced in 2002, set new standards in off-road axles. The ProRock 44™ followed shortly, addressing durability issues in the Jeep Wrangler JK's front axle. Driven by enthusiasts who use their own products, Dynatrac's innovations include the ProRock 80™, Free-Spin™ hub conversion kits, DynaLoc™ locking hubs, and rebuildable Heavy-Duty Dynatrac Ball Joints™. All Dynatrac products are engineered, manufactured, and assembled in the U.S., ensuring unmatched quality with 117 inspections during assembly. Today, Jim McGean's passion for quality and innovation continues to drive Dynatrac, serving the off-road, military, and commercial markets by developing tailored solutions.
